In some of the story missions, like Back to Basics, where you need to investigate in the Long Valley Residences to find Skell early in the game, you will need to gather information to advance. If that is the case, you need to find these enemies that have this small icon on top of their heads, shoot them in the legs to immobilize them, grab them, choose the option to interrogate them and then select the option that is related to your mission. If you just select interrogate but not select the actual option once the menu pops, it won't count and you will need to do this process again. Once you have done this correctly, you will hear a dialogue from Nomad and the mission will continue.
