Lantern tap abilities have been replaced with Omnicell abilities and all Omnicells can interupt behemoths when timed correctly!
How to get Omnicells in Dauntless:
Dauntless Omnicells can be unlocked from the Elemental Mastery node on the Slayer's Path, the Omnicell Contingency quest and the Omnicell Effect quest from the Middleman in Ramsgate.
The Bastion Omnicell, Icebourne Omnicell and Discipline Omnicell can all be crafted at the Middleman in Ramsgate with the required behemoth break parts.
Dauntess:

To further balance combat with the launch of omnicells, we’ve changed a number of other cells and increased attack speed for each weapon.
Omnicells are imbued with both a passive and active effect. If you have an omnicell equipped, you can trigger the active effect by tapping the button previously used for your Lantern.'
