How To Throw The Jab Perfectly! Technique Shown + Footage of The Top 10 Greatest Boxers Jabbing | Boxing Highlights
Today we are gonna be showing you how to throw the jab properly. With live technique + footage of my top 10 greatest boxers jabbing.
We will see professional boxers from many different eras including muhammad ali in the 1960s, mike tyson in the 1980's,
and klitschko in the 90's all the way to nowaday greats like Canelo Alvarez, Vasyl Lomachenko, Manny Pacquiao, and Oleksandr Usyk all jabbing.
After I show you how to jab properly, we are gonna see these champs jabbing some during training and others in the ring, Ok so lets begin
Lets apply 5 specific steps to do a proper jab!
1st Step: Put your left leg forward to go in the orthodox stance or your right leg forward to go to the southpaw stance. We will be showing the orthodox stance.
2nd Step: Put your hands up for the jab
3rd Step: Jab with the left hand from inside to outside
4th Step: Fully extend your jab for the most power.
5th and Final Step: Return your hand as soon as possible to defend your face.
Because alot of boxers eat the jab to give a huge knockout hook. So the second you throw your jab make sure you defend yourself immediately.
Now Lets Repeat everything we learned in 1 shot.
A Proper jab leads to wins and knockouts (ko's).
