How to leave Galdera/Gate of Finis in less than 5 min (PC/NS/XB) [Octopath Traveler] [w/ Keypresses]
31This allows you to save after the gauntlet but before the final boss. To get past the sign in H'aanit's chapter 1 (depending on your platform of PC, Nintendo Switch, XBox, etc) see below:
On Steam/PC, there's two methods:
PC Method 1 (Holding the Windowed Mode to Make Lag as in this video):
- Enter Windowed Mode
- Hit Alt + Tab so you're in a different program. Move the mouse and click the top bar of the Octopath Traveler game so you can move the mouse freely.
- Click and hold the top windows bar of the game.
- While holding, move your character into the boss prompt. Because you lag so much doing the windows hold, you can move a couple steps past before getting the boss prompt/sign too.
PC Method 2 (Graphics Driver Reset):
- Hitting 4 keys at once causes a Graphics Driver Reset: Windows + CTRL + Shift + B
- Hitting this combination and then moving in the direction of the sign allows you to move a couple steps past the sign's prompt before getting it.
- Then you can exit the prompt and continue
Nintendo Switch Method (Home Buffer):
- When you get sign's prompt, click it, then hit Home button very quickly.
- Hold up. Then click Home to re-enter the game. (You can also just keep mashing Home a bunch of times here to make the timing easier.)
- Your character should walk a few steps past the sign, allowing you to continue on.

Xbox Method:
- I do not own an Xbox but a user shows how to use the same Home Buffer Glitch here: https://youtu.be/iiEZw2-z3ps It is used to get past a boss's prompt, but it should be able to skip Text Signs in the same way, just like the Switch/PC's methods. Thanks to Zelfear's Realm of Entertainment figuring it out.

I made a version of this before, but the length put some people off, so I made this as a shortened, abridged version that shows the exact keypresses too, as the Void State Glitch can be tricky to do the first time around. This video is less than 5 minutes, and it should make Galdera's final dungeon more friendly to play through.
