I looked a great deal to find "how to build a shelter" videos on youtube, and couldnt find any for an emergency/survival situation, so I wanted to make one using no tools and 100% natural materials.

All material seen here is completely foraged and dead wood, nothing is ripped live from the environment around me. This is in Canada, in March, Temperature on this day was around 6 Celcius.

I gave myself 1 hour, and no tools. I could not use anything directly on the ground, as it was either frozen or wet.. So all materials were hard to scavenge and had to be from leaning deadwood. Its not the most amazing shelter by any means, this is my first attempt trying this sort of experiment, but had I given myself more time, even another hour, I would have set up both sides of my shelter, to be a fully encompassing shelter, and I would have put more pine/leaf debris on top to make it further wind/water proof.
