Here is a great way to re use old planks or lengths of unused timber. Make yourself an attractive yet cheap wooden garden planter.

Here we are making a hexagonal modern looking planter and not spending ££££££

The timber was used for a DIY project then upcycled to this great looking piece of garden furniture. You can customise the width and height to whatever you choose, the only limiting factor is the amount of scrap timber you have! You could even make a few of these and link them together for an amazing floral display.

All the materials used here were things we had just collecting dust! Most of them separately would have probably ended up in the bin or landfill site.

So it is the green thing to do, and if you are a budding DIYer then it can be a great way to try something new and useful!
