Although Stalker Call of Prypiat, & TBH Clear Sky & Shadow of Chernobyl, are story-driven games, some of the most fun & the most lucrative ways to play are when you take advantage of the open-world aspect of the games.

To get more money or Rubles, a great way to get rich, is to collect and find Artefacts from Anomalies, either for quest lines or to sell at Traders.

Once you've got a better detector than the "Echo" starter one, eg the "Bear" type, you'll find it much easier to find artefacts, and once you've got the "Veles" scanner, after ever emission you can do a circuit of the anomalies and pick up the re-spawned artefacts to sell.
