This recipe produces six dozen cookies.
Ingredients
* 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1/2 tsp baking soda
* 1 tsp cinnamon
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1 egg, lightly beaten
* 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
* 1 cup granulated sugar
* 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
* 1 tbsp molasses
* 1/4 cup milk
* 1 3/4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats, uncooked
* 1 cup raisins
Equipment
* Mixing bowl
* Wooden spoon
* Measuring cups
* Measuring spoons
* Baking sheets
* Cooling racks
* Spatula
Instructions
---------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Preheat the oven to 350
°F (176°C).
2. Mix the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt together in a large bowl.
3. Add remaining ingredients and mix together until blended.
4. Drop teaspoon-sized portions two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. If you want larger cookies, you can use a tablespoon, which will make 24 larger oatmeal cookies.
5. Bake about 10 minutes or until the edges are brown.
Oatmeal Cookie Variations

* Substitute a half cup dried cranberries and a half cup chopped walnuts for the raisins.
* Add a half cup chocolate chips and half cup chopped coconut for the ultimate oatmeal cookie.
* Omit the raisins and add one tablespoon grated orange peel.
