In this video, we guide you on how to match transactions in QuickBooks Online, ensuring that your QuickBooks records align with your real-life bank account. Matching transactions is a crucial step in reconciling your accounts and maintaining accurate financial records, especially if you use the bank feed feature in QuickBooks Online.

To start, log in to your QuickBooks Online account and navigate to the "Banking" menu. Once there, click on the "Banking" tab to access your connected bank accounts. QuickBooks will analyze your bank feed and suggest possible matches for transactions. These matches are highlighted with a green box under the "Category or Match" column, displaying a "1 record found" message.

If the suggested match is correct, simply check the box next to the transaction and click "Accept." For transactions involving multiple invoices, select the deposit transaction and tap the "Find Match" radio button. This opens the "Match Transaction" page, where you can choose the appropriate transactions to match with the bank feed.

In case of duplicate transactions, mark the box next to the duplicate and choose "Exclude" at the bottom of the screen. This ensures that unnecessary or repetitive records do not affect your bookkeeping.

By following these steps, you can accurately match transactions, making your reconciliation process more efficient and keeping your financial data reliable in QuickBooks Online.
