Moving audio playback to or from an Echo Show is similar to other Echo devices, but with added visual feedback and options for video playback. Here's how:
Using Alexa Voice Commands
Say: "Alexa, move my music to [Echo Show name]."
Example: "Alexa, move my music to Kitchen Echo Show."
Alexa will transfer the playback, and you'll see album art or media details displayed on the Echo Show screen.
Using the Alexa App
Open the Alexa app on your smartphone.
Tap Devices at the bottom of the screen.
Select the device currently playing audio or video.
Choose the Echo Show from the list of available devices to transfer playback.
Video Playback on Echo Show
If you're moving video content (e.g., Prime Video, YouTube):
Compatible Content Only: Ensure the content supports playback on Echo Show.
Use the voice command: "Alexa, play [video content] on [Echo Show name]."
If you started playback on another Echo device, the transfer may work depending on the app (e.g., Prime Video works; some apps might not).
