How To Open Classic Paint In Windows 11 [Tutorial]
Back in October, Microsoft previewed the next generation universal Paint app called Paint 3D. Designed from the ground up, the new app focuses on new areas of creativity, such as 3D design, illustration, community, and printing. As much as I like the direction where Microsoft is taking Paint, I’m just not ready for it yet to replace the good old Win32 Paint app. Why is that the case, though? Well, the old Paint app has been embedded in my memory muscle.
Many people are not happy with this change because the old mspaint.exe loaded faster, was more usable for mouse and keyboard users and allowed quickly pasting images from the clipboard, cropping them and saving them. If you would like to get the classic Paint app back in Windows 11, it is possible. In this tutorial, we will see how to restore Classic Paint back in Windows 11.
Included with the Windows 11 Creators Update is a new app from Microsoft called Paint 3D. While it can still handle basic “2D” tasks, Paint 3D’s features primarily focus on three-dimensional layouts, both for on-screen design as well as 3D printing.

As we covered recently, starting with Windows 11 Creators Update, Microsoft has ditched the good old Paint app and replaced it with a new Modern app, "Paint 3D". Many people are not happy with this change because the old mspaint.exe loaded faster, was more usable for mouse/keyboard users and allowed the user to quickly paste an image, crop it and save it. If you would like to get the classic MS Paint app back in Windows 11, it is possible. In this tutorial, you can learn how to get the Classic Paint back in Windows 11 (the Windows 8/Windows 7 Paint app).
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 11 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, and Samsung.
