3As a counselor, your goal is to survive. That can be accomplished in a variety of different ways; repairing and driving the car off the camp, calling the police and escaping to their location as they arrive, successfully hiding from Jason for the entire duration of a round or even by attempting to kill Jason once and for all.
Counselor’s have a variety of different tools at their disposal. Each counselor will have a flashlight that they can activate at any time. Counselor’s also have access to a mini-map that will display the location of various buildings, vehicles and notable locations.
Fear and Avoidance: Fear is the largest issue you will have to deal with as a counselor. Fear is a direct result of being pursed by Jason, being alone, and being in the dark. If you discover the dead body of another counselor your fear will increase. The more fear your character has the easier it will be for Jason to detect you. To mitigate and reduce fear you will need to find lighted buildings, hide in hiding spots, be near other counselors and make as little noise as possible.
