How to Play Helldivers 2 SOLO & Make Lobby Private (Settings Tutorial)
12In Helldivers 2, you can adjust your settings to create a semi-private lobby and play solo. Let’s break it down:
Making a Semi-Private Lobby:
While you can’t create an entirely private lobby, you can tweak your settings to achieve a similar effect.
Once you’re in the game, open the settings menu and head to the ‘Gameplay’ tab.
Look for the setting called ‘Matchmaking Privacy’.
Change it from ‘Public’ to ‘Friends Only’.
By doing this, only people you’ve added as friends will be able to join your game.
Keep in mind that this isn’t a true private lobby, as someone on your friends list can still join in the middle of a mission.
Playing Solo:
If you want to play solo, set the ‘Matchmaking Privacy’ to ‘Friends Only’ as mentioned above.
However, be aware that the game is significantly more challenging when played solo.
To leave a squad and return to your ship alone, walk to the back of the ship where the cryo pods are located. You’ll receive a prompt that says ‘Return to ship alone’—select that option to leave your lobby and squad
