Form of the Song

"Sun King" is the slow rolling track from
The Beatles off one of the band's leading records, Abbey Road, released in 1969 after being recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. The song was written by John Lennon as part of a two-song medley that would lead into the track "Mean Mr. Mustard."
The song has two lyrical portions, the first of which has an A-B-B-A pattern, using very few lyrics, and the second portion is all Spanish. The
Bee Gees covered this track in a documentary in 1976.

This track has a lot of chords for a song less than three minutes, some of which may seem foreign to a beginner, but all the chords are close together and played in a slow rhythm. Follow along with the video and learn the chords and the song progression, as it fades in from one song and into the next.

"Sun King" uses the following song form:

* Intro
* Section A
* Section B
