The object of the game is to score the most points by achieving life goals.
The youngest player goes first.
On your turn, do one of the following actions:
You can play one choice card from your hand by placing it faceup in front of you.
Or you can draw as many cards as your salary dictates.
If you decide to play a card, look at your lifestyle card first.
The card tells you how many points the choice cards you play will be worth at the end of the game.
For example, if you have the workaholic card, every career card, which are the cards with the blue border, are worth 30 points while family cards, with the pink border, are worth 10 points at the end of the game.
So, in this example it’s better for you to play career cards than family cards.
Family and Adventure cards don’t have any requirements to play and will give you the corresponding icons to claim lifestyle cards and score points which will be explained later on.
To play a house card, discard the number of cards shown on the card.
Home improvement cards can only be played on a house card you have already played.
When a career card is played, it will increase the number of cards you can draw.
The drawing cards action will be explained soon.
Note that some career cards require the player to have a degree card already into play before playing them.
If it’s an event card, play it and do what it says, then discard it on the discard pile.
Now let’s go through the draw cards action.
You can draw as many cards as your salary dictates.
When you start the game, every player`s salary is one.
Which means in the beginning of the game, you can only draw one card.
Note that you can only have the salary of one career card at once.
For example, if you place both Astronaut and Doctor into play, you may only keep an active salary for one of those cards.
Once you decide between playing a card from your hand or drawing cards, check if you completed a life goal card during your turn.
To claim a life goal card, you must have a target number of cards with the exact icon and color matching the goal card at the end of your turn.
For example, to claim the Jack of All Trades Life Goal, the player must have played 3 cards containing a blue suitcase icon.
Once you complete a life goal, place them in a pile to the side of your playing area.
Once a life goal is claimed, other players can’t take them from you.
Note that event cards don’t affect life goals.
After checking for or claiming life goals, it’s the end of your turn.
Play goes to the next player to your left.
The game ends when the choice card deck runs out or all the life goals have been claimed.
Each player counts the points of their lifestyle card and the choice cards they played.
Then, add your life goal card points at the end.
Cards in your hand don’t count towards the total points.
The player with the most points wins!
In the case of a tie, the player who has completed the most life goals wins!
And if there is still a tie, the player with the most played cards wins!
