This is the easiest and fastest method I know to create pipes with bends in blender.
There are many ways to do it, but I like this way.
1. I create a circle,
2. 'E', 'Z' to extrude along the Z axis,
3. go into edit mode,
4. select the pivot centre to be the 3d cursor
5. select a single vertice to be the pivot point on the model,
6. Shift 'S', select 'cursor to selected'
6. box select the remaining vertices I want to bend,
7. 'E' to extrude
8. 'R', 'Y' to rotate on the Y axis,
0. Bend it a little and repeat 7-8 a little at a time, until the bend is completed.

and continue as desired.
