In this video I talk about how to record PSP games over the component video output using OSSC and Elgato HD60s+.
I tried to provide as much sensible explanation to what I'm doing but if something's not clear or I'm just using too much jargon or too little, just ask.
PSX on PSP in 240p: https://youtu.be/ULakXNGnYRo
Timecodes:
00:00 - Introduction
00:21 - PSP video output details
02:03 - How to use video output on the PSP & Display settings
05:50 - Transcoding via OSSC and cropping with OBS
09:43 - 480pX2 with OSSC and cropping with OBS
20:22 - 480pX2 and advanced timing settings with OSSC
25:36 - PSP mode on OSSC (available in version 0.86)
31:07 - PS1 in 480pX2

PS: something I forgot to mention.
I'm also running the video from OSSC through DVDO VP30 but in all honesty it plays no role in the slightest in here as in almost all modes like 480pX2 it seizes to recognize the resolution and just transcodes anyway, but I felt like coming clean here.
It doesn't normalize anything where it's actually technically needed and Elgato HD60s+ can pick all of those signals with no one's help. DVDO here is nothing more than an HDMI switch for the most part.
