What’s up guys, DvApps here. Today I'll be showing you guys How To Record Your Screen Using OBS Studio in 2020. Open Broadcaster Software (aka OBS) is a free and open-source software that allows you to record and stream your screen or the games you play. In this video, I'll be showing you how to setup OBS with the best settings and how to set up your scenes in OBS. The first thing you need to do is download and install OBS from the link below. Now open it up and click on settings, then on stream, firstly for the output keep it on simple. Now for the video bitrate, I left it at 2500, if you have a better PC and a better internet connection (if you're streaming) then you can make it higher, for example, 4000. Now just change the recording path to where you want the recording to save, for me I'll change it to desktop. For the recording quality, keep it "same as stream". For the recording format, change it to mp4 because mp4 is widely supported by video editors. Now click on the video. Firstly just choose the resolution of your monitor, for that's 1366 x 768. Then for the downscaled resolution, try to choose the one closest to the base resolution. Now for the fps, you can change it to what you want, so if you're recording a game, it's best to have it at 60 fps, but if your PC/network can't support that, then just keep it at 30 fps. Now just click on apply, then on ok. Go under "scenes" and click on the + icon, now just give your scene a name, I'll just keep it default. Now go under "sources" and click on the + icon again, then click on display capture and give it a name, again I'll keep it default. Now it will ask which display you want to capture, for me I only have 1 display so I won't change anything, but if you have multiple displays, just select the one you want to record. If you want to add anything else, like an image or some text you can also add that by clicking on the + button under sources, but I'll leave mine as is. Now go to "mixer" and you can drag the slider to change the volume of your microphone or your system sounds. If you want to change your microphone, click on the settings icon, then click on properties, then choose your mic and click on ok. Now you can start recording/streaming by clicking on the respective buttons. That's all for this video, make sure to like, comment and subscribe, thanks for watching until next time, Peace!
