In this video, I've corrected some of the maths on Fertiliser usage, but more importantly, I've added three more improvements based on your feedback and analysed their relative impacts on excess Water / Plastic production: 1) Using Grubgrub Rubs to boost plant growth speed. 2) Feeding Mealwoods to more Glossy Dreckos to recycle more Dirt. 3) Using mutant Exuberant plants to feed vastly more Glossy Dreckos and produce even more
Dirt. I then explore different ways of combining these techniques and also compare the relative ranch sizes yet again, this time for a smaller Water throughput. With all of this efficiency, you really don't need that much throughput Water to get whatever you want out. UNFORTUNATELY YOU CAN'T GRAB THE ROT PILES AS THE DRECKOS SHOULD EAT THE MEALWOODS BEFORE THEY ARE PRODUCED. But imagine if you could...
With even more efficiency than before, my plan for 2025 is to complete a small-scale version of the Exuberant Mealwoods + Grubgrub setup on a world seed with no Oil Biome, and sustain as many Duplicants asI can off of such a setup in a completely closed loop, i.e. no geysers or resources coming into the colony on the home planet. It's literally free real estate.
