How To Remove Part Of Video In CapCut - Quick Guide !
If you’re editing a video in CapCut and want to remove a specific part—whether it's due to mistakes, unnecessary content, or simply to shorten the video—the process is quick and easy. CapCut offers a user-friendly interface that allows you to cut, split, and delete sections of your video with just a few taps. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to remove a part of a video in CapCut.
First, ensure you have the CapCut app installed on your device. You can download it for free from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). Once the installation is complete, open the CapCut app. On the home screen, tap *"New Project"* to start editing. Select the video from your gallery that you’d like to edit and tap *"Add"* to import it into the timeline.
Now that your video is loaded, play or scrub through the timeline to locate the part you want to remove. Tap on the timeline to select the video clip. Drag the playhead (the white vertical line) to the starting point of the section you want to delete. Once you’ve positioned the playhead correctly, tap on the *"Split"* button located in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. This will divide your video into two parts.
Next, move the playhead to the end of the section you want to cut and tap *"Split"* again. Now, the unwanted section is isolated between two splits. Tap on this middle section to select it—it will be highlighted to indicate that it’s active. Then, tap the *"Delete"* icon (usually represented by a trash bin) to remove the selected portion.
After deleting the section, CapCut will automatically merge the remaining parts of your video, ensuring smooth continuity without any gaps. You can preview your video to make sure the edits look seamless. If needed, you can repeat the process to remove additional parts. Once you’re satisfied with the edits, tap the export icon to save the final video to your device.
