17How to Remove the "Learn About This Picture Icon" from Windows Desktop
Description:
You’ve probably noticed that little icon that shows up on each picture called "Learn more about this picture." When you click it, it opens your web browser to give you info about the wallpaper you're using. If you don’t want that icon hanging around on your desktop, it’s easy to get rid of it with a quick registry edit.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel
Right click on NewStartPanel and select New - DWORD (32-bit) value
Name the value {2cc5ca98-6485-489a-920e-b3e88a6ccce3}
Double click on {2cc5ca98-6485-489a-920e-b3e88a6ccce3} and change the value data to 1
Right click on your desktop and select Refresh
