An iPhone 6 that had the screen replaced yesterday after experiencing no touch connectivity has come back in to the shop because there's still some touch issues being detected.
This video is a demonstration of how simple it is to replace damaged screen connectors on flex leads. You don't need to use low melt.
Typically 250~270'C is fine and rely on the flux to help protect the connector from hot-air melting effects.
