There are many reasons why you might want to reset your Ayaneo KUN gaming handheld – be it due to driver issues, a slow system, or a planned sale. Since the KUN doesn't have traditional F-keys for BIOS access, a special key reset (monkey grip) is required. In this video, we'll show you step-by-step how to reset your device!
🛠 Instructions: Reset Ayaneo KUN
1️ ⃣ Preparation: Have a mouse ready (USB or docking station), as touchscreen confirmation may be required.
2️ ⃣ Turn off the handheld: Make sure Windows has completely shut down.
3️ ⃣ Start the reset:
Press three buttons simultaneously:
✅ Power button
✅ Volume up button
✅ Shoulder-RC button (Important! The KUN has three RC buttons)
As soon as the device turns on, you can release the power button.
Continue holding the Volume up and RC buttons until the dotted circle appears on the screen.
4️ ⃣ Confirmation & Restore:
If the reset was initiated accidentally, you will need to confirm it with a green check mark.
Windows will now restore automatically (takes approximately 6 minutes).
5️ ⃣ Windows setup: You can then set up your device via the touchscreen.
💡 Tip: If you want to upgrade your SSD, clone it first! This will preserve the recovery partition, including all important drivers.
