Instructions

1 Locate the menu button, which is located on the center console of 2000-2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredos.

2 Press the menu button to scroll through the menu. Locate the "Perform Service" option, which is located near or at the end of the scrolling menu.

3 Locate the set button, which is located next to the menu button. Press this button to toggle through the mileage settings on the "Perform Service" screen.

4 Set the "Perform Service" mileage to 0 to deactivate the reminder. Performing this step will disable all reminders, both visual and audible

5 Press the "CT" button to exit the menu and return the display to the current compass heading and temperature.

On my '04 Grand Cherokee, I recently had the "perform Service" light come on. Now the service is done, and the light won't reset? ... or at least I don't know how to. Any ideas?

Just a few simple steps....

1. Open hood.
2. Disconnect battery
3. Wait two minutes.(do not skip this step!)
4. Reconnect battery.
5. Start car, look at light, drive around block a few times and stop at corner store and buy some smokes and a JP magazine.
6. Drive home.
7. look at light.

other way (described in this video)
it' pretty easy actually if you have the vehicle information center on the headliner. press step until you get to the one that says "0 miles until service" hold reset until it the number changes to 2500, 3000, or 3500 depending on your settings. next time you turn on your vehicle the reminder will be off and you'll get a chime 2500, 3000, or 3500 miles down the road reminding you to change your oil. hope this helps
