A good password or PIN can be difficult to remember. If you forgot or lost your Windows login PIN, you won’t be able to retrieve it, but you can change it. Here’s how.

Assuming you’ve already added a PIN to your Microsoft account, that PIN will make logging into devices much faster. If you’ve been locked out of your Windows PC for any reason, start by going to the login screen and clicking the “I Forgot My PIN” link.

In this tutorial we'll show you how to perform a password reset in Windows 10. Forgetting your Windows 10 password can be a frustrating affair, but it doesn’t have to be the end of the line for your user account.

There are a lot of ways to reset your password in Windows 10, all of which can help you get your account back.

The method you use will depend on whether your account is simply a local account or one connected to your Microsoft account, and whether you use a password or PIN to sign in. Regardless, you have plenty of options at your disposal, so there’s no need to panic if you get locked out.

I forgot my Windows 10 PIN which I set few hour back. Now the question is how to reset the PIN of a Windows 10 laptop? The only way to setup your PIN again is to reset it. If you use Windows PIN to access games, social networking etc… then you will need to log in from scratch in each of those placed after you reset your Windows 10 PIN. Once you forget or lost Windows 10 PIN then you may have to login to your Windows 10 machine with Microsoft account password option as highlighted in the following picture. By default Windows 10 doesn’t provide you the following screen, you need to press on Sign-in Options to get this screen.
