How to Always Show or Hide Bookmarks Bar or Favorites Bar in Microsoft Edge.
Microsoft released the first update to the Canary Channel of their newest Chromium-based Microsoft Edge app. Starting in build 124, the app allows showing or hiding the favorites bar on tabs, featuring an individual option for the new tab page.
Unfortunately, there is no change log available for the Canary Channel of the browser. But you can easily spot a new option after installing build 124 of the browser. It is available in both Settings and the Bookmarks bar context menu.
Microsoft’s new Chromium-powered Edge browser includes a Favorites bar for all your bookmarks. But sometimes you might want or need to hide it. Here’s how.
Microsoft built its new Edge browser with Google’s Open Source Chromium engine. You can download and install the new Microsoft Edge right now. It’s available on Windows 7, 8, 10, macOS, and mobile.
If you are a Microsoft Edge user, then you probably often use the Favorites interface to visit your bookmarked web pages. The Microsoft Edge Bookmark bar makes those sites even more readily accessible. Alternatively called the Bookmarks bar, it is located below the address field where URLs are displayed and entered; however, because the Edge Favorites bar is hidden by default, you must first make it visible.
As with all browsers, it includes a bar to display your bookmarks or “Favorites” as Microsoft calls them. It has the features you’d expect like folders, icons, and sync between machines.
While the Favorites bar makes it easy to find your bookmarked sites, sometimes you might want to hide it. Either for privacy or to get a better view of a site — especially on a display with limited real estate. Whatever the reason, here’s how to hid or display your favorites.
