Just a quick video to show how to run liquid metal paste on your notebook GPU without having to worry about it leaking out and causing a short. If you found this video helpful and want to show your appreciation, my PayPal address is https://www.paypal.me/MrFoxRox (click SHOW MORE)

You want to make the square opening in the middle of the foam is several mm larger than the die so the foam does not come into direct contact with the liquid metal and begin to absorb it like a sponge. The foam is only present to act as a containment barrier in case a droplet of metal paste were to stray. The foam would catch the droplet instead of allowing it to roll away to another place.

Be sure to use electrical tape or Kapton tape, or fingernail varnish, to seal off the surface mounted components that are close to the GPU die. If liquid metal gets on those components it will fry your GPU. Kapton tape or electrical tape are the best choices. If you use fingernail varnish it is best to use clear, but whatever you do please do not use the glittery type with metal particles in it.
