We go through the process of accessing the web-based interface of the goCoax WF-803M MoCA adapter by setting a static IP. #homenetwork

I decided to use a static IP for the WF-803M as the DHCP setting was not 100% working on my LAN but the static IP was.

First thing is to make a direct ethernet cable connection with your computer and access the factory settings of the WF-803M by changing the computer side ethernet settings to something like:

IP: 192.168.254.1
Length: 24
Gateway: 10.1.2.1

The factory default user is "admin" and the default password is "gocoax" which can later be changed in the interface. The devices can also be renamed in the interface for differentiating them on your network.

Change the settings in the WF-803M to:

IP: 192.168.0.199 (or any static IP within the range of your router and using the 0 or 1 in the IP as needed according to your own router settings)
For instance, my router operates as 192.168.0.1 and range 100-199, so I chose a static address furthest down the range.

Reboot the goCoax WF-803M and reconnect your computer and the WF-803M to your LAN.

From there you should be able to access the WF-803M via 192.168.0.1 (or whatever static IP you set on it) and monitor the connections and the rest of the web-based interface.

The reset pin button will allow everything to be reset to factory default in a pinch.
