In this video I am going to show you how to setup and record your Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and Sega Master System with the Elgato Game Capture HD! I also believe that this setup will work for other retro gaming systems, as long as they have an RCA/Composite output cable or if the systems have a way to do RCA/composite output!

A Television that has either RCA/Composite and RGB/Component inputs.
If you Television only has HDMI inputs you will need a RCA to HDMI converter.

3 Female to Female RCA Y-Splitters.
I could not find any Female to Female RCA Y-Splitters locally and I had to shop around online in order to get them. I found that that the (LINK BELOW) (3-Pack) RCA Y-Splitters (1 Female Jack to 2 Female Plugs)Connector AV Audio/Video Adapter by ShopBox. They work great and the very cost effective!

2 RCA/Composite Male to Male Cables, or 3 cables for the Nintendo (NES)!
For most retro gaming systems you will only need 2 RCA/Composite Male to Male cables, but if you want to record the Nintendo (NES) you will need to get 3 Cables.
While it is fairly easy to find RCA/Composite Male to Male Cables at your local Radio Shack, or Walmart, I found that this 3 pack RCA/Composite Male to Male Cables on amazon is the best bang for your buck.

Super Nintendo/64/GameCube RCA Cables.
If you somehow do not have one of these RCA Cables you can find them fairly cheaply at one of your local used/trade video game stores, or you can find them online pretty easily as well.

Sega Genesis/Sega Master System RCA/Composite Cable.
Most Sega Systems did not come with RCA cable back in the day so you had to buy the separately. You should still be able to find them fairly easily at one of your local used/trade video game stores or online. However, there is one thing you need to be careful about. You need to make sure that you get the right RCA cable for the right system. If you not sure what Sega Genesis system you have there are pretty easy guids to find out by googling it.

I originally bought this cable because I thought it would fix my problem! (which it did not) Also, as far as I know you do not need it to be able to record, but it does have a S-Video input which work for the Sega Saturn or any other retro system with S-Video!
