How to Setup Payment Terms in Odoo 14?
9This video explains how to configure and use different payment terms in Odoo 14.
Business organizations often follow different payment collection and payment making methods. In many cases, the payments to suppliers or payments from customers are made as installments.
Odoo ERP has a feature to configure and use different payment methods in it. In Odoo, it is called Payment terms. The usage of the feature Payment Terms is so convenient and viable in different business scenarios. We can set different payment terms and use them for both customer bills and vendor bills.
A business may use different kinds of payment terms in different cases.
In order to create new payment terms, go to;
Accounting - Configuration - Invoicing - Payment Terms
Inside the form, we can give the payment term name, company name, a description that can be seen in the sale order and invoice.
Then we can add the terms by clicking on “Add a line”.
When we click on “Add a line” a window will appear to add the terms. The last line's computation type should be "Balance" to ensure that the whole amount will be allocated.
After creating payment terms it can be applied to a supplier or a customer and set to a sale order or purchase order.
