Hi. I'm Max Dalton, and in this video I'm going to talk through how to shift the Apple iPhone or iPad keyboard to the left or to the right.
With the rollout of iOS 11, Apple added an accessibility option that makes it easier to use the larger screens of the iPhone and the iPad with one hand. The One Handed Keyboard feature lets you shift the onscreen keyboard to either the left or the right so that you can more easily use the onscreen keyboard with one hand. You can access the One Handed Keyboard feature through the Settings app.
Step 1. Tap the "Settings" app on your Apple device's home screen.
Step 2. Scroll down to the third section, and then choose "General." The General screen appears.
Step 3. Move down to the seventh section, and then select "Keyboard" within that group of options. The Keyboards screen appears.
Step 4. Tap "One Handed Keyboard" in the second group of options. The One Handed Keyboard screen appears.
Step 5. Tap to place a check mark to the right of Left if you want the onscreen keyboard to be shifted to the left side of the screen, or tap to place a check mark to the right of Right for the onscreen keyboard to always be shifted to the right side of the screen. Alternatively, tap to place a check mark to the right of Disabled to return the onscreen keyboard to its standard position, stretching across the bottom of your iPhone or iPad screen.
