How to Spin Jump in Super Mario Maker

A shocking number of people don't seem to know you can spin jump. I tried to make it as clear as possible, but the level still has a less than 50% clear rate.
Hitting R, L, ZR or ZL will make Mario spin jump. Spin jumping doesn't reach the same height as a normal jump, but it allows you to harmlessly bounce off of a number of obstacles that would otherwise hurt or kill you. You can safely spin jump off the top of spiketops, spinys, thwomps, chain chomps and piranha plants. You can also break the yellow bricks in Super Mario World with a spin jump.
If you bounce off of something while spin jumping, you'll continue spinning and will keep bouncing until you take damage or land on solid ground. Spin jumping only works in Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros themes.
