The easiest option you have to stop your iPhone or iPad notifications from interrupting your music is to put your device in Silent mode. To do this, you first need to locate the Ring/Silent button located on the side of your device directly above the volume buttons. Hold the "Ring/Silent" button down until you see "Silent" in red text appear at the top of your device's screen. And that's it. Going forward, any notifications you receive will no longer interrupt music listening sessions on your iPhone or iPad.
The other thing you can do to stop your iPhone or iPad notifications from interrupting music is to enable Do Not Disturb. Let's walk through the steps to do that.
Step 1. Swipe down from the top-right corner of your device's home screen to access the control panel.
Step 2. Tap the arrows on the "Focus" button to open a menu.
Step 3. Tap the specific Do Not Disturb option you want to enable. Your music will no longer be interrupted by notifications on your iPhone or iPad.
