Steps:

- If you click on a link in safari that is associated with an app, the link will open in the app. This can be helpful, but if you prefer the browser and not the app, it can be annoying. I will show you how to stop this from happening.

- There is no setting to change to disable this from happening but there are a few workarounds you can use.

- The first option is to just uninstall the app, if you never want links to open in that app then it makes sense to ust delete the app so it never happens. To do this just hold down on the app and tap delete from the menu. Then tap delete from the popup.

- If you don't want to delete the app then you have two other options to stop links from opening in the app. One option is to long press on the link. To do this, instead of tapping on the link like normal, long press on it. This will open a menu, tap on the ‘open’ option, which has a safari icon after it. This will open it in safari rather than the app.

- The third option is to use private browsing mode to prevent links from opening in apps. To get to private browsing mode, from a safari page, tap on the ‘pages’ button in the bottom right corner and then select ‘private’ from the bottom left corner. Tap the plus to open a page. Now if you open a link it will open in safari and not try to open the app.
