How to stream Android games online (Game Hatch review)
Google Stadia isn't quite ready, but one Android game streaming alternative is Game Hatch, designed for playing premium mobile titles over 5G or WiFi networks. Here's my full review of the gameplay and premium service.
Streamer solutions have been around for PC owners for a while, but Game Hatch is the first such service for your Android smartphone - before Stadia even officially launches. By paying a monthly fee, you get full access to over 100 premium titles, while a free version offers 20 games to play online on your Android device. That full version includes some of the best action, adventure, puzzle, racing and platform apps from the Google Play store, as well as a few you probably haven't heard of.
Although designed for 5G online gaming, Game Hatch works fine over WiFi too. The £7 monthly cost here in the UK seems fair and the streaming is reliable, while the addition of leaderboards and competitions makes a subscription more appealing. We'd like some more platform exclusives however, as well as iOS support.
If you want to unlock a large catalogue of online Android games without spending a fortune, this is worth a shot - and Vodafone Pay Monthly customers will get three free months from July 3, to celebrate the launch of 5G.
