This tutorial will teach you how to stream Destiny 2 from one PC to another one so that you can play the game away from your main gaming computer.

Things Needed:

- USB Bluetooth Dongle (I used this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IVBM2S2/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
- Xbox One S Controller
- VirtualHere Server Software (https://www.virtualhere.com/windows_server_software)
- VirtualHere Client Software (https://www.virtualhere.com/usb_client_software)
- Moonlight Game Streaming Software (https://github.com/moonlight-stream/moonlight-chrome/releases)
- Steam Software
- Custom Destiny 2 Launcher (http://madalien.com/stuff/bnetlauncher/)
- Gaming PC with a Nvidia Graphics Card
- Streaming PC with any Graphics Card

Setup Steps:

1. Install Destiny 2 on your Gaming PC through Battle.net.
Add a custom Destiny 2 Launcher to Steam. Instructions and latest version of the Launcher can be found at http://madalien.com/stuff/bnetlauncher/.

2. Install Moonlight Game Streaming on your Streaming PC (I’m using the Chrome version of Moonlight). Make sure that you have the GeForce Experience Software installed on your Gaming PC. Pair Moonlight to the GeForce Experience on your Gaming PC and make sure that Gamestream is enabled in the GeForce Experience Settings on your Gaming PC.

3. OPTIONAL: Disable any native Bluetooth Adapter that your Streaming PC or Gaming PC may have. Meaning that if your Streaming PC or Gaming PC has built-in bluetooth, go into the Device Manager in Windows and disable it. If your Streaming PC or Gaming PC does not have built-in Bluetooth, you can skip this step.

4. Plug your Bluetooth Dongle into your Gaming PC. Make sure that the drivers for it install from Windows Update (or from the install disk if yours requires it). Unplug the Bluetooth Dongle from your Gaming PC.

5. Plug your Bluetooth Dongle into your Streaming PC. Make sure that the drivers for it install from Windows Update (or from the install disk if yours requires it). Leave the Bluetooth Dongle plugged into your Streaming PC.

6. Install the VirtualHere Server on your Streaming PC.

7. Install the VirtualHere Client on your Gaming PC.

8. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR XBOX ONE CONTROLLER IS OFF FOR THIS STEP. Open the VirtualHere Server on your streaming PC. Make sure that it starts and is running.

9. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR XBOX ONE CONTROLLER IS STILL OFF FOR THIS STEP. Open the VirtualHere Client on your Gaming PC.
The VirtualHere Client should automatically detect your Streaming PC on your network. It will show up under USB Hubs (click the + symbol next to USB Hubs to show the devices connected). You should see your Bluetooth Dongle listed as a USB Device in this menu. Right click on your Bluetooth Dongle and choose to Use Device. Within a few seconds, it should show that is In Use by You.

10. Turn on your Xbox One Controller and put it into Pairing Mode. On your Gaming PC, open Device Settings and choose to Add Bluetooth or Other Device. On the next screen choose to add Bluetooth. It should scan and pick up your Xbox One Controller. Click on it to pair it. It should pair successfully. At this point your Xbox One controller should be detected as if it was connected directly to the Gaming PC and should work in Apps that can use a controller.

11. On your Streaming PC, open Moonlight and then launch Steam from Moonlight. In Steam, choose your custom Destiny 2 Launcher and open it.

12. Destiny 2 should launch, and your Xbox One controller should work to control it.

Notes:

- You need a decent router for this to work with low latency. I’m using a newer Asus Router. Use 5 Ghz for wireless connections and ethernet when it’s available.

- This method requires the Xbox One S Controller. It does not work with the original Xbox One Controller that lacks Bluetooth.

- Not all Bluetooth Dongles will work for this setup. I have only tested the one that I linked in the description.

- When I tried to just use Steam In-Home Streaming instead of Moonlight, Steam kept losing focus of Destiny 2 and I couldn’t get it to load on the streaming PC. Someone else may have better luck, but for now Moonlight is working great.

- I am running Windows 10 on both my Gaming PC and Streaming PC. This may work for other versions of Windows, but the instructions may be slightly different.

CREDITS: It's important to give credit where credit is due. I did not come up with all of the ideas in this tutorial. Other people have developed the software that I used, and provided some of the ideas that I pieced together to get this working.
