How To Transfer Files From USB Flash Drive To Samsung Phone

How To Copy Files From USB Flash Drive To Samsung Phone:
Step 1: Begin by connecting your USB flash drive to a USB OTG adapter (link above). This is because most Samsung phones have a USB-C port and the USB flash drive is likely a USB-A one. However, if you have a USB-C flash drive, then you should be good to go.
You can also use other adapters, like the one linked above from Anker to connect your flash drive to your phone.
Step 2: Connect the adapter to your device, making sure to plug it into the type-C charging port. You will see a USB icon in the status bar of your phone, as well as a "USB Storage Added" notification in the notification bar.
Step 3: Navigate to the My Files app. This is where you'll be able to manage your files. You can find the Files app on the home screen, Samsung folder or simply swipe up and use the search function to find it.
Step 4: In the Files app, you should see a list of storage locations, under 'Storage'. Look for an option labeled with the name of your USB flash drive. Tap on it to access the files stored on the flash drive.
Step 5: Once you've opened the USB flash drive, you'll see a list of files and folders. Browse through the contents and select the files you want to transfer to your Samsung device.
Choose the “Copy” or “Move” option from the menu. “Copy” will leave the files on your hard disk as well, while “Move” will remove them once the transfer is complete.
Step 6: Navigate back to the Files app's main screen and select "Internal Storage" or the specific folder where you want to paste the files. Select “Copy Here” or "Move Here" to start the transfer process.
Step 7: After the transfer is complete, you can open the destination folder on your phone to verify that the files have been successfully transferred. You should now be able to access and use the transferred files directly from your phone.
Step 8: Once the transfer is complete, it’s crucial to safely eject the USB flash drive to avoid data corruption. Tap on the USB flash drive in the My Files app to open the contents and tap on the three dots in the top-right corner. Select the "Unmount" option.
You can also swipe down to reveal the notifications panel, where you'll see the "USB Storage Added" notification. Tap on the drop-down arrow next to it, and select "Unmount" from the options.
Step 9: Finally, unplug the OTG adapter and USB flash drive.
