How to transfer your character to new saves - Abiotic Factor
Quick video showing exactly how to transfer your character to new saves in Abiotic Factor.
*WITH FRIENDS:* Your friends can send you a copy of their Player Data from their saves and all you'd have to do is paste them in the same place your Player Data sits on your server. You take your entire inventory and you will appear at the last place you were standing before the transfer when you load into the new save/server.
*TAKE OR GIVE AWAY A WORLD:* If your friend ever stops playing but you want to keep playing on their world save, just have them .zip their game world and send it over, then you can drop their world into your Worlds folder and pick up right where you left off.
*DUPLICATE INVENTORY:* You could also make a copy of your Player Data and then stash all of your equipment into a box then delete your empty handed character's Player Data and paste in the version that has a full inventory, thus duplicating what you had.
*NEW START:* The string of numbers you see attached to your Player Data is your Steam ID, that is how it keeps track of characters in servers. So if you ever want to start a new character but keep the world, you can just delete your Player Data and when you join the server it will prompt you to make a fresh character just like the first time you launched the world.
*CHANGE SANDBOX SETTINGS ON THE FLY:* As shown in the video, you can simply copy and paste Sandbox Settings from one world to another and have them update to your liking as you play. It's very handy if halfway through a session you decide you don't want your food to spoil ever again, as an example.
