If you have a surround audio device (like 5.1 or 7.1) but your media source only in stereo format, the playback is only in stereo (only front left, front right, and subwoofer speakers produce sound). Then if you want to hear them in surround audio (all speakers produce sound, including center, rear left, and rear right speakers), this tutorial guides you to make your system simulates stereo media playback into surround audio. Also, I'll give you extra steps to enable it in google chrome, so when you play any media in chrome (like youtube etc.), it will be in surround audio.
