In mid 2019, Slack rolled out a dark mode theme for its mobile iPhone, iPad and Android apps. Slack's dark mode is easier on your eyes, and is less of a drain on your device's battery.

Now let's walk through the steps to turn on dark mode in the Slack app for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.

Step 1. Launch the Slack app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. You'll arrive at your Slack home screen.

Step 2. Tap the vertical ellipses in the upper right corner of the screen. A menu flys in from the right side of the screen.

Step 3. Tap "Settings" in the menu. The Settings screen appears.

Step 4. Locate Dark Mode in the list, and then tap the toggle to the right of "Dark Mode" to turn the feature on. The Slack dark mode feature will automatically be enabled. You can disable Slack dark mode at any time by navigating back to the Settings screen and turning the dark mode toggle off.
