Having a hardmodded Xbox 360 allows for easy access to region free playback of original Xbox and Xbox 360 games thanks to Dashlaunch. Over the years I've also had several people ask about unlocking DVD playback region on the console. Although this does require a small edit to the NAND's SMC Configuration, changing the DVD playback region, or even fully unlocking it to be region free is possible with a few minutes of work!
