How To Unlock The Autophage Quest In No Man's Sky Voyagers Update 6.0 - A New Player Guide
8Here's how to unlock the autophage quest in No Man's Sky as of Voyagers Update 6.0 in 2025. First, you need to have completed the main quest (the Artemis storyline) starting with "Awakenings" and ending with "New Beginnings". Then, you need to find a Harmonic Camp. To to this, you need to find a Dissonant System (marked "Dissonant" under the system name) in the galaxy map, then scan the planets in the system until you find one with "Dissonance" in its tooltip. Go to that planet, and scan the surface to find Dissonant Resonators. Distroy them, or fight Corrupted Sentinels, until an Echo Locator drops. You can then use that to find a Harmonic Camp, where you can then unlock the terminal to finish this requirement step. From there, simply warp to another galaxy and you should get a communication where someone tries to hack your ship, which is the quest start for "They Who Returned", the autophage unlock quest. Enjoy!
Note: you no longer need to do the settlement quests that were once a requirement to unlock the autophage. That has been phased out.
