Initially, the Nintendo Switch did not have Bluetooth functionality to allow Bluetooth devices such as Bluetooth headphones to connect. This all changed however after the system update 13.0.0 on September 14, 2021.
Nintendo Switch who updated their software to this version were now able to use a Bluetooth device on their console. This is also the same if you have a Nintendo Switch Lite instead of the regular Switch.
When a Bluetooth audio device is connected, the Nintendo Switch can only connect a maximum of two wireless controllers, as stated on their official support website. If you wish to pair more wireless controllers with your game console, you must first disconnect the bluetooth audio device.
