How to use Edge Screen on Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus-Tutorial
In this video I will be showing you how to use the Samsung Edge screen and features on the S8 and S8 Plus.
These handy tips and tricks that everyone should know if they have purchased the S8 or the S8 Plus.
However the same rules apply if you do have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge or Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
I will show you step-by-step on how to set up your Edge screen on your Samsung.
The edge screen on the Samsung is used for many different shortcuts.
You have the people edge for you can select your top 5 favourite contacts so that they are easily accessed from the edge screen.
You also have a task search for you to use with certain everyday tasks.
The task Edge section is for shortcuts like composing an email or composing a text message.
The smart select Edge gives you the option to create a gif on your Samsung S8 and S8 Plus. There are also other features built into this.
Lastly you have the app edge. You can select your favourite apps that you use on a daily basis with easy access using the Samsung Edge screen.
The edge screen is a handy shortcut the pops out from the edge of your curved screen. I think this is how they came up with the name.
There is so much to choose from including your phone book contacts, app shortcuts, calendar and so much more.
When you first get your Samsung S8 or S8 Plus you will notice that there are only a few turned on by default. However you do have the option to adjust what do you want on your screen.
To make sure that you have this option switched on, on your phone you have to go to settings then display and tap the edge screen.
You can have your phone setup for the information you want.
Having the edge screen keeps things up nicely for the user.
If and when you're using the edge screen to do a lot of tasks then it does make sense to tailor the categories so that it fits your needs.
For the user that is always on their phone then the tasks edge is probably one of the most important features that you will use. You can set it up to open a memo or just to call an important contact. It gives you easy access to the things that you use the most.
