How to Use Human Shield in Black Ops 6 - Body Shield
22In this video I show you how to use the human shield in Black Ops 6. You can use the body shield mechanic by sneaking up on a player and double-tapping on your melee button. This will take the enemy hostage, using them as a human shield. Meanwhile, doing the same thing but holding down the melee button will allow you to perform a finishing move.
Alternatively, you can change your settings to allow you to use someone as a human shield by holding down the melee button instead. Additionally, this will mean you can double-tap the melee button to perform a finishing move on an enemy as well.
In order to switch the hold and double-tap melee options you will need to open either the controller or keyboard & mouse settings, depending on what you use. Once done, you will then need to switch to the combat tab and open the Combat Advanced Settings. Here you will see the Body Shield/Finishing Move Behavior option. With this set to prioritize body shield the button inputs will be swapped. Meaning you can hold down the melee button to perform the body shield mechanic in Black Ops 6. This setting is particuarily useful if you find it easier to hold down the melee button rather than double-tap.
Alternatively, you can set the option to Body Shield Only. This will remove the finishing move input completely. However, you will still need to double-tap your melee button in order to use someone as a body shield.
