What are LUTS and How to Use them with OBS (Open Broadcast Software) or Streamlabs OBS. LUT is known as a lookup table, and represents an array of numbers to provide a specific computation. When it comes to video camera and webcams, LUTs are preset configurations to apply a filter or an effect over your webcam. Often this involves color grading as it modifies the color input values from your camera to the desired values in your footage.
Streamlabs OBS and OBS let you apply LUTs so you can colorize and modify the output of your webcam display on stream or recording to match certain filters applied. Examples include Black and White, Faded, colorized with specific highlights...etc. LUTS are mostly cube file extensions and are compatible with many video editing and streaming software programs.
