Using Quake effectively requires excellent parry timing. Charging the heavy attack builds Aftershock charges, which have a chance to stun the opponent and deal damage when they expire. While charging, you will also evade any non-special attack.

So, charge and then parry as soon as you are attacked.

This works amazing for an opponentlike Magik. Since you can prevent the AI from ever reaching a single bar of power, Limbo will never proc. This also works well against evade champs like OG Spidey and Nightcrawler. Since you are never attacking them directly, they cannot evade.

This technique obviously does not work against stun immune opponents (other than Mordo, but see below). It also fails against Drax, whose initial medium attack is two hits and will beat your evade, and Yondu, whose arrow attack cannot be parried.

Against champs with a passive or active power gain (Loki, Dr. Strange, Hyperion, Mordo) you'll have to be careful to not attempt this when they have a bar of power.
