How to use Stellar Tera Blast! (What you need to know)
No one seems to know how this is supposed to be used. Some are even calling it "bad" or "mid" but I've figured it out...extra! extra! Read all about it!
First off, Stellar Tera Blast is super effective on any pokemon that has terastalized regardless of type. It doesn't change the type of the Pokémon that went Stellar, so keep this in mind as well. It does, however, offer a boost to ALL of the user's attacks (equivalent to STAB if I'm not mistaken) but only for the first time it is used.
"Oh well that sucks." You might be thinking. Who would want to use this? Let's see... Pokémon with the Contrary ability: (Enamorus, Serperior, Lurantis, Malamar) will reverse the Attack and Sp.Atk lowering side effects of Stellar Tera Blast, so while this would weaken pokemon without this ability (Not even Sheer Force prevents the stat drop) The above mentioned pokemon get stronger instead.
"But I'm not trying to use those 4 pokemon" You may be thinking. All is not lost for other pokemon:
The move Haze gets rid of stat drops.
Unaware ignores stat drops when dealing damage.
Focus Energy + Razor Claw creates automatic critical hits, ignoring the stat drop.
Mist prevents stat reduction.
Clear Amulet is Mist in a hold item.
Topsy Turvy turns stat drops into stat boosts.
Power Swap trades increments and decrements to stats.
Did I miss anything?
