You will learn step by step how to write up a bug report that anyone will be able to follow even a none gamer. It will also explain why things are done a specific way and how doing this type of bug reporting could even land you a job in the video game industry.

Bug report example/template:

Ki punch knockback animation is too fast.

When the player uses the ki punch power the enemy is knocked back quickly, to where the player is unable to get a ranged shot off on them before the enemy hits the ground.

Severity rankings: 1= crashes 2=game stoping bugs 3=all other bugs

1. Run Sweet Tea Launcher
2. Select Thunderspy
3. Click on verify files
4. Click on launch
5. Put in username and password
6. Click on create a new character
7. Click on ranged damage
8. Click on the blaster
9. Select any primary powerset
10. Select Martial Artist in the secondary powerset
11. Select the ki punch power
12. Finish creating the character
13. Find and target the enemy at melee range
14. Click on the ki punch power or press the corresponding number on the keyboard
15. Click on a ranged attack or press the corresponding number on the keyboard for the ranged attack
16. View results

Actual Results: The enemy flies back and hits the ground before the player can do a ranged attack on them while the enemy is in the air.

Expected results: The enemy would fly back slowly as if in slow motion and the player would be able to get a ranged attack off on the enemy while they are in the air.
