The pandemic has changed a lot of things across the country, but one of the biggest things was the rise of online shopping. Now some of the big box stores are facing a major crisis.

In fact, more than 800 big box retail stores are closing across the country this year. Everything from Bed Bath & Beyond to Tuesday Morning Gap, Party City, and even some Walmart stores will be closing their doors.

Some of them are closing due to bankruptcy or to cut costs but all the online shopping we do now means some of these stores are no longer needed.

DBL’s Sam Schacher explains why she thinks people are moving to online shopping.
